The Commercial and Corporate Department is an important arm of the Firm. Headed by our Senior Partner, Brian Abrams, assisted by Vanessa Beattie and Ying Wai Chan, this busy Department has two principal Divisions identified by the type of work in which they specialise, commercial property and corporate & commercial, and a third, and quite unique Division whose purpose is to provide legal services to the Chinese Community (included here because its prinicpal, Ying Wai Chan, is a valued member of this Department). The Department provides a professional, all-inclusive legal service covering every aspect of commercial property work, including sales and purchases, property development, leasing, secured lending, and business acquisition or disposal where a property element is involved. This Department has expanded considerably in recent years and when tackling a major project, together the solicitors and support staff involved in this Department form an effective and cohesive team.
